Robinhood Padilla leads over the tandem of former vice president and current Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo and Sen. Bam Aquino by 12 percentage points, according to the latest Tugon ng Masa (TNM) survey of OCTA Research. OCTA said the 12 percentage-point gap was the narrowest recorded between the two hypothetical tandems to date, compared with a lead of about 20 to 25 points in previous commissioned surveys conducted in 2025. The latest results also showed that 16 percent of respondents remained undecided. The survey was conducted from July 4 to 11, 2026, through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 male and female probability respondents aged 18 and above. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points at a 95-percent confidence level nationwide. For Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the margin of error is plus or minus 6 percentage points at a 95-percent confidence level. OCTA described the TNM as an independent, nonpartisan nationwide survey that it conducts regularly. The latest poll was noncommissioned and released as a public service. The results were released on Sept. 25 as part of OCTA Research’s report on hypothetical tandems for the 2028 presidential and vice presidential elections.manilatimes · philippines
